Intellectual Property
Copyright Registration
Copyright covers literary and artistic works, such as novels, poems, plays, films, musical works, works of art, drawings, paintings, photographs, sculptures, and architectural designs.
The term «copyright» refers to the principal act, in respect of literary and artistic creations, which can only be performed by the author or with his consent.
Copyright refers to the rights of the person who created the artistic work, its author, which highlights the fact, recognised in most legislations, that the author has certain specific rights over his creation, e.g. the right to prevent distorted reproduction which only he can exercise, while other rights, such as the right to make copies, can be exercised by others, e.g. a publisher who has obtained a licence for this purpose from the author.
