Registration of Trademarks with Customs

The constant increase in piracy, trademark fraud, counterfeiting and infringement of intellectual property rights constitute a real scourge that threatens the private and state economy, as well as, in some cases, the health and life of the inhabitants of the national territory.

The Directorate General of Customs, with the Division of Trademark Fraud, implemented the “Alert Seats System”to facilitate and expedite the protection of trademarks registered in Argentina.

Our firm has a specialised team to register trademarks with customs and, in the event of an alert, to proceed with the detention of the shipment, verification and, if the trademark infringement is confirmed, to arbitrate the means to carry out a possible litigation.
