Trade Dress Registration

The trade dress is made up of all the distinctive signs that make up a business and characterise it. For example, the decoration or commercial image, the shapes of the buildings and even the uniforms used.

The trademark is the sign that identifies your products or services and distinguishes them from those of your competitors. The trade dress or commercial image, like all trademarks, must consist of a sign with distinctive capacity, that is to say that it can distinguish our product from another, or our service from another, and it is as important to register it as the name of the trademark.

In this way, designs of business premises, the exterior and/or interior layout of the premises; advertising material; colour schemes; product containers and some product shapes can be registered.
