Just think of the large virtual companies such as search engines and servers where their greatest capital is in their trademarks and patents.<\/p><p>Periodic auditing within a company is very useful to detect underutilised elements, and to be able to detect all those assets that should be registered for comprehensive protection. It is also necessary to check that all registrations are in force and that they cover the appropriate products or services. Expiry dates are also checked and the possibilities of possible renewals are studied.<\/p><p>All this work provides vital and necessary information to design strategies to improve the market position and to organise the operation of the company.<\/p><p>International protections are also reviewed to ensure that they are adequately protected in all countries where the trademark is being marketed. This work protects them from possible copying or having conflicts of interest with other trademark owners. It is also a prerequisite for licensing the brand to representatives and distributors.<\/p><p>It is the time of the audit when it can also be detected that one's own trademark is no longer in use and does not generate any profit.
